Like Facebook's Organizational Structure

Facebook creates a work environment that is desirable by many employees.
Their laid back atmosphere and loose clothing restrictions allow for creativity
amongst their employees. If their employees weren’t creative, facebook will
struggle to maintain its position it the social media industry. Many
competitors such as MySpace and Google+ had been developing new ideas to regain
its lost share of the market and increase the awareness of their new social media
design, respectively. Facebook creates an atmosphere where people can achieve
goals while sustaining a healthy relationship while working for the organization.

At the bottom of the user feed page, a link called Careers shows how many
jobs are available to anyone who may possess the desire to work for facebook.
Once on that page, the link breaks down the types of careers into different
positions that have openings such as online operations, technical operations,
and product management to name a few. With the ease of accessibility to their
employee opportunities page, it allows people who are not technologically savvy
to reach their website if they are looking for work.
Facebook offers incentives and perks to their employees. On their benefits
and perks tab, they show what kinds of services are offered to their employees.
Their cafeteria, day care, and savings and retirement services provide the customer
with positive hygiene factors which could decrease job dissatisfaction.
Internally, increased motivation may result as the employee agrees with the
morals or values of the organization.
Creating an organization like the one that facebook has established has a
positive effect on the way people work for the organization. The turnover rate
is low and facebook is always looking to increase the amount of employees it
has because the firm is growing at a rapid pace. With their 27 locations around
the world, the culture of the surrounding areas is catered to meet the needs of
the individual. Facebook possesses a large share of the market and their
organizational culture is a major reason why.

  1. Im glad you did facebook, I think there way of business is the way of the future. The fact that you can basically get inside the company simply by going to the bottom of their page is crazy, and what is even more amazing is what you find when you research their offerings. This laid back approach in the office has clearly worked very well for them so far.

  2. Facebook has created a great product internally with the treatment and pride of their employees as well as externally with the social media product that millions of people use everyday. Facebook has moderized their way of controlling their organizational environment. Google has a similar environment where innovation is an incredibly important need for the company's future. Both companies are at the top of their respected industries and there are no mysteries as to why.
