http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFeLKXbnxxg&feature=player_embedded

The googleplex is Googles' corporate headquarters located in Mountain View California. From watching this video I can see why google has grown into such a large company since being started in 1996 when it was called "BackRub". In this 3:21 minute video it give a tour of the googleplex and show why google is a great company to work for. In my eyes googles working conditions alone would motivate me enough to want to wake up everyday and come to work. From having bicycles around that you can use to get to from meeting to meeting. Between sand volleyball, heated endless pools and four gyms google which are free for Google employees to use. Google culture also allows for relationships from employees to the co-founder or executives to be open and judgement free. They feel as though the success of google is based on everybody being hands-on contributor. For motivation factors interesting work falls right into Google's lap, there are so many things being searched for on the internet that employees at google have unlimited possibilities to be able to help people find the answer to questions, locations, needed information.
What Google does for there employees it is why easy to see why they enjoy going to work on a daily basis. Google takes care of there employees offering many things that traditional companies don't offer. Google feels as though work can get done in a fun and exciting place to work, not just a place filled with people in business suits, sitting a cubicles, afraid to talk to their boss. From watching this video it is easy to see why Google has 76 total offices all over the world.

  1. Very Cool video. I cant believe google actually supplies is employees with all that stuff. I also believe that these work as motivation tools towards the employees and is probably the reason they work so hard everyday. Google, like most new and successful companies also follows this horizontal business model which I personally think is the only way to maintain success at these higher levels.
